The First Glaze
Glazed the first pieces today, so they're ready for their second firing. The three pieces in the back are the lucky ones. Mug on the left was the first piece I've thrown in 14 years: speckled clay with matte white outside and cobalt blue inside. Switched to a less gritty clay for the middle back piece, so that'll be all cobalt blue on white clay. Back right is white clay, with matte white glaze outside and cobalt blue inside. Yum.
The front two bowls are ready for bisque firing. Playing round with some colored slip for the waves pattern. Thinking a pen might be more fun than a paintbrush for my style.
