Wanderlust Is Real
It's August. Hallelujah. I've been feeling overworked, overstimulated... over everything, really. Last July 5th marked my 10-year anniversary of moving to NYC. Ten years. It went by so quickly, and I'm feeling anxious about staying in one place for such a long time. Oh, the places I want to go. Maybe I'll move to Fiji and throw clay for something completely different... Daydreaming.
What's the list, you ask? I mean, it's long, so once it's pretty much "everywhere," it feels silly to even have a list. Here's the top, in no particular order: Marrakesh, Fez, Lisbon, Azores, Buenos Aires, Granada, Sevilla, Majorca, Tibet, Fiji, The Galapagos, all of Madagascar, Bali, the entire South of France, Antwerp, Bruges, Santiago - Chile, Tuscany, Venice, Budapest... and on and on we go.
In the meantime, looking forward to upcoming vacation to Stockholm > Amsterdam > Gotland–a real vacation. No emailing. No texting. No 24-7 manic work work work. No back-to-back meetings. No (literal) running in and out of subways. Maybe I won't feel like such a cyborg, tethered to wifi and constantly checking email like it's some type of nervous tic. (Wait, I think that's exactly what it is...)
Nu kör vi. Allons-y. Vámonos. Tara na.
