Been a rough week, so I didn't get to the ceramics studio as I had planned. Was able to carve out a couple of hours today, and happy to report that the first pieces have been fired. Started to play around with some decorating today–painting with the wax resist in baybayin, the ancient script of the Philippines.
Couldn't decide on what glaze to try, so I went for a natural earthy-looking shade. Will be a light earth color when it's fired. Dipped it in, and actually enjoyed the glazing process, for once. It's usually the part that I dread, for some reason.
