What did we say about not rushing?
Glazed these pieces last time and felt super rushed because of travel plans. Recalling a lesson we've learned before: rushing the glazing process is the worst idea ever.
So, I put them on the shelf, and came back to them today. Cleaned up the bottoms more, since I was afraid there wasn't enough space for the glaze, and I definitely don't want them to stick in the kiln. No ma'am. Four pieces ready for firing today, including the combo pinch-thrown bowl inspired by Mama Swanberg. Photos of the glaze dip here, so we can see how much the seaworld glaze runs.
Threw a little bit too. No pressure and no rush, so was able to fool around on the wheel a bit. Tried to play with my new Mrs. Pacman tool, but it didn't exactly turn out as planned.
Clay was too wet, but not really sure how it would work once dried. Learning, learning, learning.
