Trimmed 4 more cups today. Been playing around with a rounder, gentler, kinder foot, and I think it's feeling nice with these bigger cups. Also trying out a new carving tool, with the ancient script of the Philippines. Feels really nice to do, but still working on the design; what do I want them to look like? With these carvings, I could paint on some slip and sponge off the parts that aren't in the etchings themselves, so that I can get color and contrast in that way. But... not sure really want to do with that yet, or even if the carving is what I'm digging. Maybe better to paint them on?

The foot is feeling fun though. Carving out the seigaiha pattern, I mean. But yes, still all a work in progress. Maybe better if I do my initials in baybayin? The characters for "a" and "co" (ko) would coincidentally spell the word meaning "I" in Tagalog (as in the self, not the letter I), "ako".
